Bits of news for a Thursday from Collingwood, the U.K. and Blue Mountain

I’ve been on the run a bit this week but had a few things I really wanted to share with you.

Kate and Wills are expecting!!

Sorry about that.  I’ve heard it so often in the last 72 hours and that it’s playing like some catchy tune in my head.  The news appears to be worthy of everyone’s attention for some reason.  Myself, I don’t get it but, I am fascinated about her morning sickness.  Oh please.

On the real news front, Amaizeingly Green, the ethanol plant located in Collingwood, went into receivership this week.  I feel badly for the employees but am sure the east end residents must be pleased with this news. Will this be the end of the odiferous battles?

If you are looking for a way to get into the festive spirit, you may want to know that December is Frost Frenzy month in the Village at Blue Mountain.  There are lots of free things to do that families can enjoy together.

Every Saturday night this month, there will be fireworks over the pond at 8 pm as well as on Christmas and New Year’s Eves.  There are carollers, wagon rides and extended shopping hours plus of course, a myriad of things to do anytime in the Village.  You can check out the Village website for all the details.

O.K., that’s all I’ve got for you today.  I’m off to a seminar this morning at Centum Mortgages to learn more about CMHC’s housing outlook for 2013.
