Famous Icon Moves to South Georgian Bay

Viewing homes for sale in the Collingwood – Wasaga Beach – Meaford – Blue Mountain areas this month has been, shall we say, CHALLENGING.

As everyone surely knows by now, Old Man Winter has joined the crowd and has taken up residence in Southern Georgian Bay.  As one of my clients said, the snow has been “relentless.”  A perfectly apt description for sure.  Snowmageddon is another word I’ve heard in recent days.

After having to book, cancel and reschedule property showings four times for a lovely couple who recently moved here from Alberta, we finally got out today into the winter wonderland formerly known as Wasaga Beach.  (I had to reassure these folks more than once that this is not normal and they really will like it here – I promise).  Here are some pictures of our adventure:

And here are some pictures a friend sent me from Meaford today:

And here is the view out of my front door in Collingwood this evening:

If you do plan to visit us here in Georgian Bay over the holidays, please take it slow, bring your sense of humour and … your shovel
