Georgian Triangle Real Estate Market Barometer: June 12th – 18th, 2009

The following information was obtained from the MLS® statistics provided by the Georgian Triangle Real Estate Board.  They include a summary of data for the following areas only:  Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, Blue Mountain, Clearview, Grey Highlands and Meaford. For this week (previous three week’s numbers are in brackets):

• New Listings: 46 (47, 78, 54)
• Average List Price:  $385,730
• Range of List Prices:  $139,900 – $1,250,000
• Number of Sales:  36 (23, 29, 28 )
• Range of Sale Prices:  $109,000 – $450,000

• New Listings:  16  (7, 16, 14)
• Average List Price:  $321,187
• Range of List Prices:  $144,900 – $700,000
• Number of Sales:  6 (7, 4, 4)
• Range of Sale Prices:   $115,000 – $460,000
Vacant Land
• New Listings:  16 (12, 7, 13)
• Number of Sales:   9 (0, 3, 3)
• Range of Sale Prices:  $16,667 – $535,000
Number of Prices Changes All Types (down or up):   37

Items of Note:
– One single family home sold at it’s list price and one sold above it’s list price during this reporting period.
– Number of single family sales is up significantly from last week’s number of sales. 
– Number of vacant land sales is up significantly from the last several weeks (6 of which were in the same immediate area.)
