Occupy Collingwood – no really, please… occupy Collingwood!

I often notice really nice cars, maybe because they are also clean ones, pulling into town on the week-ends and then I see their occupants shopping in the Vintages section of Collingwood’s LCBO before filling their Whole Food bags over at Loblaws with stuff from the drooling aisle.  (That’s the aisle I go into just to look).   I always thought they were what I like to call week-end warriors or Urban Refugees.  Well now I find out they live here!

According to this article in Macleans magazine,  Collingwood ranks 14th in the country for the municipality with the most one percenters per 1,000 people.  You know, the tax-filers who made at least $250,000 in 2010 according to Statistics Canada.  These are the folks that are keeping others, shall we say, occupied.

I say, welcome! Occupy the Town!  Please shop local, support your community and by all means, feel free to share your lessons learned by volunteering.  Oh wait, you already do these things.  Now I get it.

It’s always a pleasure to meet new people and to assist them in meeting their real estate goals.  If you would like to schedule a buyer or seller consultation with me, please feel free to email me or call at 705-446-1762.
