Snow and Tulips

Holy, did it ever snow a lot yesterday.  Actually, it started the night before and over about a twelve hour period, we got somewhere around 30 cms piled up.  As far as I can recall, the last time I saw that volume of snow overnight was in 1986.  It’s the year we moved up to the Georgian Triangle and I remember thinking, what have we done?!

Although our street was not ploughed out until about 3:30 this afternoon, I have to congratulate the snow plough tulips.jpgoperators in the area.  They did a fabulous job on a monumental task and I’ll bet they still had a long night ahead of them removing piles and piles of the white stuff.

I took a little toot around town late in the afternoon and I have to say it was simply gorgeous.  GORGEOUS!  The trees looked like they were iced, the sun made everything sparkle and it just looked like a scene out of a postcard.

Just to remind me that spring is coming, my darling hubby John bought me some potted tulips a few days ago and they came into bloom this morning.  Isn’t that perfect?

Yes, everything was like a postcard for me too, gorgeous trees and plenty of sparkles and snow for my daughter to make snow angels and a “snow mountain” in front of our house.

Is her snow mountain bigger than the ones we all have now from the plow? I think ours is over six feet high now!
I’m glad you and your daughter are enjoying natures beauty as we are. Thanks for your comment Val.
