I don’t know whether it’s good or bad. I guess the good is houses are still being built in spite of everything we’re being told about the state of real estate market. The bad? Well, it doesn’t exactly look pedestrian-friendly…

Interesting what people read into a picture. Did you notice the snow on the mountain in the background? (What is it they say about Canada having two seasons – winter and construction?) To me, it was the juxtaposition of boring man-made creation versus a hill with snow versus dug up dirt and way too many cars. I’m curious about what others see so… thanks Ian for your comment.

Ohmigawd, there are hills… can’t see the hills for the houses…

    Now, THAT”S profound.

  5. What a blight on the landscape! Reminds me of the scenic view of Blue Mountain with the Walmart in front of it.

I agree Pauline unless of course you are one of the owners backing onto the mountain view. Your language is interesting. I recall many years ago the president of Blue Mountain calling the west end of Collingwood “an example of pure urban blight” leading to one of the provinces most beautiful amenties. Thankfully, the province now allows municipalities to regulate architectural controls which they did not do in the past.
