I just purchased the neatest little gizmo and I’m so excited. It all started when I began using a wonderful new program to create “real estate shows” like this one. The program developers recommended having a digital camera with a wide angle lens for best results. I agree that is something I needed anyway but, I just love the little Cannon Powershot I have now. Well, off I went shopping anyway. I have to tell you that I’m a cheapie when it comes to my camera investment since I seem to have to replace them fairly often as they take a beating in my purse, car, briefcase and pocket. After reviewing several camera’s, I was pretty disheartened at the options available; either a BIG price tag or a really low quality. Then my trusty side-kick Chris dropped into Gabrielle’s Photography here in town and discovered the Optex Wide Angle Lens attachment. It’s simply a little lens that attaches in two seconds to just about any camera using a magnetic mount!
I’d never heard of such a thing but a quick trip down to the shop and presto! I have a wide angle lens now and I get to keep my favourite camera. Better yet? This little marvel happened to be on sale for fifty bucks. Don’t you just love it?

What a great blog!! I’ll have to check out the optex attachment as I am a fan of big vistas! Thanks for the idea,
L.
Thanks Linda and I’m thrilled you like the blog!
The one thing I found out with the Optex lens is that, on a small camera, it blocks some of the light from the flash resulting in dark corners on pictures taken with a flash. Alas, I finally gave in and bought a camera with a built-in wide angle.
