Collingwood, Blue Mountain and Area 2007 Market Conditions Report:

I’m worried that people are getting tired of reading year end reviews and predictions for the next year.  I know it’s starting to tire me.  Unless you have a reason that you need to know some specific stat, you’d probably rather talk about something else so, if you are interested in a detailed review of our local market in 2007, then please visit my newsletter report here and we’ll skip posting it on the blog.

The First Six Months:

Last spring, I started working on the concept for this blog.  At that point, I actually barely knew what a blog was and certainly didn’t know how it operated behind the scenes.  I had however read other blogs and found them to be of interest.  It occurred to me that it was an excellent way of passing on information about real estate and about our local area to people thinking of buying or selling.  So, I started studying and learning everything I could and on July 12th, I started the areas first real estate blog.  Since then, I think I’ve written close to 200 posts.  I started with no readers of course and now, there are over 700 “unique” visitors each month making thousands of visits to the site.  My blog was somehow cited in the Wall Street Journal in October which sent the numbers flying upward that month.  I’ve had readers all over the world and from as far away as Australia, Bahrain and India.  I now have subscribers and often get emails from people too shy to post their comments on the site.  It’s been a terrific experience so far.  As a result of the research required, I feel it helps to make me a better REALTOR® and it gives me clarity about our market as I hope it does for my readers.  Looking forward to the next six months and to seeing where this blog leads.
