When is the last time you heard a choir sing?
The Sound Investment Choir is celebrating it’s 40th anniversary this year and is made up of a group of about 50 people from the region. Their music is outstanding. On June 1st and 2nd, they will be bringing the music of Leonard Bernstein and Broadway to us at the Trinity United Church with shows at 7:30 p.m. each evening.
This is no ordinary choir. It is conducted by Brian Rae who is the former director of the St. Michael’s Boys Choir and, the choir will be accompanied by Keiko Yoden-Keupfer on piano, harpist, Erica Goodman and percussionist Andrew Morris.
Tickets for the event are $20 and are available at Crow’s Nest and Saunders Office Pro in Collingwood, Sears in Wasaga Beach, Paperwhite Flowers in Thornbury and the Village Pharmacy in Creemore. For more information, you can visit the choir’s website at http://www.soundinvestmentchoir.ca/
I’ll be there June 1st myself and don’t worry, I’ll just be in the audience.
